Igor De Amicis & Paola Luciani

Igor De Amicis was born in Rome in 1976. He is a Chief Commissioner of the Penitentiary Police and shares his passion for writing with his wife, Paola Luciani.

Paola Luciani was born in Pescara in 1980. A support teacher in primary schools, she invents, imagines, and writes her stories together with her husband, Igor De Amicis.

Together, they wrote Giù nella miniera, which was selected for the reading project of the Premio Bancarellino in 2017 and won the Premio Speciale dei Ragazzi at the Premio Parco Majella in 2017. Always for Einaudi Ragazzi, they wrote Fugees Football Club, Igor Trocchia. Un calcio al razzismo, Roberto Mancini nella terra dei fuochi, L’ultima verità, and several titles in the series Classicini, Grandissimi, and Che storia!. For Il Battello a Vapore, they published Il mistero delle lettere senza nome. Their books have been translated into various countries (Greece, Spain, Poland, South America, Japan, Germany, etc.).

Igor De Amicis has also published several noir novels for adults, including Gioventù criminale (Piemme).
