Bordeaux, June 1940. Between running across rooftops and making deals doing favours, rebellious teenager Marian befriends the Portuguese consul Aristides Sousa Mendes. One day, Marian meets Arielle, a Jewish girl who needs to get to the Portuguese consulate to apply for a visa to leave France. Nothing will ever be the same again, with Marian risking his life to do the right thing.
