Never Walk Alone
Adventure
Sport
Football is a great journey to take in company.
Rupert is a bizarre and elderly Liverpool fan, a team for which he is considered a good luck charm. So, when the Reds qualify for the Champions League final, Jadel and Skip, two boys who are best friends, beg the former’s father to take him with them to Madrid to watch the match.
Together with Rupert’s splendid carer Irina, the group thus sets off from England aboard Rupert’s small, battered car, crossing a piece of Europe and discovering how wonderful it is to share your passion for your favourite team, and how strong the magic of friendship is.
Deals with topics such as friendship, child/parent and grandchild/grandparent relationships, and bereavement.
