My Grandpa Who Returned From Germany on Foot

Davide Calì was born in Liestal, Switzerland, but spent most of his life in Italy. He is a comic artist and author of children's books, with his works primarily published in France and the United States, as well as in Italy, and translated into over 30 languages. He teaches writing courses and has collaborated with prestigious educational institutions such as the MiMaster in Editorial Illustration in Milan, Ars in Fabula in Macerata, and the IED in Turin. He has also held classes in Paris, Brussels, and Tallinn. His articles on illustration are regularly published on Frizzifrizzi and Robadadisegnatori, while his webinars are featured on Aduntratto, offering insights and reflections for the publishing world.

Mariapaola Pesce is an author and coach. She has published picture books, novels and comic biographies for children which have been translated in various countries around the world.

Giacomo Agnello Modica is an illustrator and graphic designer. He likes divas, theatre and pop music; rain, the cold and the green of Ireland. He has collaborated with Tod’s, Teatro alla Scala, Giunti, Mondadori, Il Saggiatore, BAO Publishing, Nobrow Press, Edizioni Corsare and other publishers, studios and agencies. In 2021, he was among the 20 illustrators selected for the “Eccellenze italiane. La nuova generazione degli illustratori italiani per ragazzi” exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
