Down in Paradise, to Hell

For millennia, seven Saints and seven Devils have been battling for control of the world. Now, the most important battle of all is about to begin. Since its very origins, the world has been contested by two factions: Good and Evil. Seven champions, from all sides, have fought to conquer it, but none have ever succeeded. But now, these extraordinary beings are preparing to fight the most important battle of all in a modern-day metropolis, amid skyscrapers and the dark streets of the underworld. Anything goes. Tricks, traps, and deceit. And if they manage to complete their mission, they will receive a silver coin in return. The price for the journey home. To Heaven. Or Hell.

THE OPPONENT

Jay is twelve and has just moved to the big city with his moody aunt. On the very night of his arrival, he finds himself thrown into a real battle between mysterious figures with extraordinary powers. Wounded by one of the Opponents, he is miraculously healed by a Fisherman. But the scar left on his skin will allow him to recognize from now on who belongs to which faction. The masks will fall, one after another, even though the battle has only just begun…

THE WITNESS

Jay is tired of sitting around doing nothing. Months have passed since the battle between the Fishermen and the Opponents, but no one has yet bothered to answer his questions. Who are the accomplices of Ash? Why are they so determined to get rid of him? So Jay investigates on his own and discovers he’s very close to the answers he seeks. Close enough to become trapped in the gears of a terrible conspiracy because the Opponents only care about winning the millennia-old battle for the fate of humanity. And to win, for them, means causing as much harm to as many people as possible. With or without the Witness…

THE HUNTER

Life on a boat isn’t always easy, especially since Jay Clarke discovered that beneath St. Nicholas’ church, a group of strange characters have been fighting for millennia against terrifying creatures. And now, the city is in danger. More and more souls are disconnecting from the Fishermen’s network. Jay and his friends must discover the identity of the fourth mysterious Opponent who leads a dangerous criminal organization. But Jay has no superpowers to defend himself, nor the tentacle hair of Maria, and he can’t manipulate the weather like Barbara… As if that wasn’t enough, two terrifying burning eyes follow him in the shadows…

THE MONSTER

Christmas Eve has arrived, and a new dangerous Opponent is sowing panic in the city: a seven-headed dragon with a serpentine scaly body. Jay and the group of extraordinary friends gather under St. Nicholas’ church. They must track down this infernal creature that attacks even the places of protection: the doghouse, the library, the scrapyard… There isn’t a single safe place left in the city! Thus begins a race against time to save as many souls as possible. Will they manage to stop the hydra?
