The True Story of the 25 Father Christmasses

She inherited from her family a love for stories: those found in big, colorful books, those whispered at bedtime, and the funny ones told in the meadows. Stories that blur the line between reality and imagination. For her, they became so essential that she started searching for them everywhere. She listened to them, read them, and, as soon as she could, turned them into books.

Yvonne Campedel, born in 1992 in Recanati, a picturesque town near the sea, nurtured original dreams as a child: becoming a dog trainer, a chimney sweep, or an illustrator. Her passion for art eventually prevailed, leading her to earn a degree in Graphic Design in 2014 and a master’s in Editorial Graphics and Illustration in 2016. Her first three illustrated books (Buongiorno e Buonanotte, Un cucciolo è nato!, and Back to front) were published by Clementoni in 2017. In 2019, in collaboration with Book on a Tree, she illustrated Le scarpe della Befana (Nomos), written by Annamaria Soldera.
