The Atlas of Imaginary Places

How far can imaginary travelers go?

In a distant time, a brave warrior conquered all the kingdoms of the Rising Sun. No one remembers his name: he has been passed down to posterity as the Emperor. He fought bloody battles, besieged cities, destroyed villages; all to win a maiden of extraordinary beauty: Princess Huo, the only woman in the East with hair as red as live flames. But when the capital was scoured far and wide by the Emperor’s army, no trace of her was found. One day, a young scribe, accompanied by a mute servant, presented himself before the Emperor with an ancient and precious book: the Atlas of Imaginary Places. The man claimed that the Princess had fled with her lover to a distant realm, and that the Atlas was the only map that could lead to her discovery. The Emperor entrusted the task to his four trusted commanders, who set sail the following day in search of the lost Princess…

  • An incredible imaginary journey, a triumph of illustrations and fantasy.
  • Between fairy tale and adventure, a modern story with an ancient flavor.
