The Evil Tigers

Picture book

A colorful tribute to Emilio Salgari

With his pen, Emilio Salgari conquered remote islands, priceless treasures, and the hearts of thousands of young readers. But this time, he is the protagonist: the young Emilio, here in the guise of Yanez, leads a group of brave warriors, boys and girls with windblown knees, wooden scimitars, and makeshift turbans. When the news spreads of their Captain’s departure, Emilio heads to the Captain’s house to check if he has truly left… And there, waiting for them, is not the Captain, but piles of written papers, figurines, daggers, and countless books. But most of all, there are his animals. It is up to the Little Tigers to free them and take care of them so that at least they don’t end up badly. Only the parrot escapes through a window, repeating in the air the name of everyone’s hero: Sandokan!
